What You Can Expect of Me
1. I will personally respond to your telephone calls or emails promptly (within 24 hours or less).
2. I will personally consult with you and key members of your team prior to the event so I can customize the content to best serve you and your audience.
3. I will develop articles, blog posts, infographics or other materials for your audience to increase interest in the upcoming program and engagement with the audience prior to the event via my mobile app for iOS and Android smart phones or email, if requested.
4. An annoucement about your event on my social media channels, if the organization would like additional visibility.
5. A custom presentation delivered in a humorous and dynamic style focused on meeting your event goals for audience outcomes.
6. A special page on my website for your audience accessible directly or via the mobile app that will launch immediately following my presentation. It will include resources developed specifically for your attendees with my slide presentation, attractive custom marketing and/or infographics focusing on your meeting outcomes to be downloaded and printed for ongoing reminders.
7. A follow up conference call with me after the event to make sure I met your expectations. (And if I didn’t, what can I do to improve?)
A Little Something About Me
I have written two books focused on using the research results of Positive Psychology to create a better, happier life. You can check out my books on Amazon.com, Living Happier After, and Is It Monday Already?! Although I have been speaking in my corporate job for over 25 years, it was after the first book was published in 2012 that I began to speak at conferences and events on the power of these strategies to change your life from both a personal and professional perspective.
I joined the National Speakers Association (NSA) as a professional member in 2014. In 2016 I was appointed to the executive leadership team of Black NSA and I am a member of the social media committee at the DC NSA chapter.
I have been a guest on over 100 radio shows and podcasts and have been featured on local access television. Recently added to the roster of Huffington Post Contributing Bloggers, I write about workplace wellness, especially for professionals who work in office cubicle environments. Of course, I also blog on this website at Wilmaj.com/blog.
I am active on social media on Facebook (over 5,000 fans) and Twitter (1,300 followers). I also have a mobile app, WilmaJ available on both iOS and Android platforms.
I live in the Washington DC metropolitan area and you can probably catch me listening to live music somewhere around town.
My Mobile App and Your Audience
I like to start engaging with the audience prior to the event. People are going to Google you and find out about you once they hear you’re coming to speak, so I like to provide custom content to introduce the Living Happier at Work strategies and myself to all my audiences. When I work with the event organizers and other key members of the team I will get feedback in order to develop tools that help support event/meeting goals.
